Pocket Pistol

Pistol Class A – Any centrefire pistol or revolver with a minimum capacity of five rounds. Class B – Any rimfire pistol or revolver with a minimum capacity of five rounds

The firearm must fit in a box 180mm x 140mm x 40mm with a 5mm tolerance in any one direction. If a pistol it must fit in the box with a magazine in place.

Sights Any metal sights, can be adjustable and coloured. Optics are not allowed and front sights are not to project beyond the barrel of a revolver or slide of a pistol
Grips Orthopaedic grips are not permitted
Safety Any safety fitted must function correctly
Trigger The trigger must be safe in the opinion of the range officer with a minimum pull of 3 pounds
Position Both hands may be used to hold or steady the pistol
Ammunition 30 rounds to be supplied by the competitor
Target PL 7
Shooting Distance P1 15 metres, P2 10 metres, P3 10 metres

Course of Fire

Practice 1 @ 15 metres, 10 shots in 100 seconds, time to include reloading
Practice 2 @ 10 metres, two strings of five shots. Turning targets will make five appearances of 2 seconds each with an away time of 5 seconds one shot per appearance, the firearm must be returned to the ready position between appearances.
Practice 3 @ 10 metres, The target will make three appearances of 2 seconds with a away time of 5 seconds, 5 shots to be fired with not more that 2 shots per appearance. this practice will be shot twice, the firearm must be returned to the ready position between appearances.
