Any Centrefire pistol or revolver over .356 producing a minimum Power Factor (pf) of 200
Power Factor (pf) = (Bullet weight in grains * fps) / 1000
Example a .357 Magnum must be pushing a 158gr bullet at around 1265fps to achieve a power factor of 200
Score Modifiers To be applied to the overall score
200 – 249 pf = x 1.00
250 – 299 pf = x 1.02
300 – 349 pf = x 1.04
350 – 399 pf = x 1.06
400 – 449 pf = x 1.08
> 450 pf = x 1.10
Grips: Orthopaedic grips are not permitted
Safety: Any safety fitted must function correctly
Trigger: The trigger must be safe in the opinion of the range officer
Position: Both hands may be used to hold or steady the pistol
Ammunition: 43 rounds to be supplied by the competitor with with only 5 rounds loaded per stage of practice unless otherwise stated. 38 to be used in the competition .
Chronograph: 3 to 5 rounds to be supplied before start. Chronograph results will be averaged to determine score modifier. RO to randomly choose the rounds. Power Factor to be rounded down to the largest whole value.
Target: P55/PAA (Elvis) one per competitor
Shooting Distance: P1 25 metres, P2 15 metres, P3 15 metres, P4 10 metres, P5 10 metres

- When the order “watch and shoot” is given, the competitor may put their finger in the trigger guard, but pressure must not be applied to the trigger until the targets are faced.
- Pistols must be returned to the ready position – 45 degrees below the line of sight before each appearance of the target in practice 2,3 & 4
- No accessories to be added/removed during the course of fire.
- Use of speedloaders/other reloading aids are permitted as long as they are deemed safe by the RO
Course of Fire
Practice 1 @ 25 metres, 10 shots in 90 seconds.
Practice 2 @ 15 metres, 5 shots , turning targets will make 5 appearances of 3 seconds with an away time of between 5 and 7 seconds, 1 shot at each appearance .
Practice 3 @ 15 metres, 10 shots , turning targets will make 2 appearances of 8 seconds with an away and reload time of 12 seconds, 5 shots at each appearance .
Practice 4 @ 10 metres, 8 shots , start with 4 rounds loaded. Turning targets will make 4 appearances of 2 seconds, 2 shots per exposure with an away and reload time of 12 seconds, Reload of 4 rounds to be done after the 2nd exposure.
Practice 5 @ 10 metres, 5 shots , turning targets will make 1 appearance of 5 seconds. 5 Shots to be fired during the exposure.
